A jar of jam made by Jeremy Corbyn sold for £400 at auction last night. The outgoing Labour leader donated the preserve to help raise money for Action for Children and Restless Development as part of a fundraising evening.
The auction lot was donated by the Labour leader and his former press secretary James Schneider. It's description read: "Homemade with produce fresh from his own allotment, this jar of jam comes straight from the hands of Jeremy Corbyn -Labour Party leader and long-running member of parliament." It continued: "An incredibly rare thing to own, and to eat, this will certainly be a talking point at your next dinner party.
