Jaguars Quarterback Trevor Lawrence Breaks Silence on Head Injury After Azeez Al-Shaair's Hit & Ejection

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence suffered a brutal head injury on a hit from Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair during the Sunday (December 1) game, and now, he’s speaking out.

The 25-year-old quarterback was running for yards and sliding to end the play. When a quarterback slides – thus, ending the play, opposing defensive players are no longer supposed to try and tackle the QB.

When Trevor was sliding, Azeez Al-Shaair lunged and ended up hitting Trevor right in the head. Trevor immediately seemed to commence “fencing posture,” which happens after a traumatic brain injury.

He was carted off the field and did not return to the game. Keep reading to find out more… After the hit, several Jags players got into a fight with Azeez Al-Shaair, and a brawl ensued on the field. Al-Shaair was ejected from the game after the hit.
