Maya Jama has set the record straight on the swirling rumours that she's set to be replaced by Maura Higgins as the host of Love Island, taking to Instagram to address the claims.The 30 year old presenter, who stepped into Laura Whitmore's shoes on the ITV2 dating show in January 2023, reassured her 3.2 million followers that she's not going anywhere.
She wrote: "I will be hosting Love Island next year and have no plans to leave right now. Filmed the promo a couple days ago actually.
Fake news is fake news-ing as usual." It comes after Maura Higgins, the 34 year old former Love Island contestant and I'm A Celebrity favourite, was tipped to take over after her successful stint in the jungle with Reverend Richard Coles.
Before her time on I'm A Celeb, Maura had been the social media host for Love Island USA and even presented the Love Island Games.
