Gavin and Stacey's Mathew Horne, who plays the beloved Gavin, was rushed off stage after a head injury during a West End performance. The actor, currently starring in The Tempest at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, suffered the mishap just ten minutes into Tuesday [17 December] night's show.

He hit his forehead on a rock while rolling on the floor as part of the play. Despite being taken off stage for 15 minutes, the dedicated star returned to continue his role.

Audience members noticed a red mark on his face, with one telling The Sun: "Mathew's forehead had a big, red mark on it and it looked pretty painful, even from far away in the theatre.

He was clearly in pain so they stopped the show as a precautionary measure to give him a once-over." After a brief pause, the cast, including Mathew, came back on stage. "It was about 15 minutes before the cast eventually returned to the stage, including Mathew, but his forehead looked sore," reports the Mirror.
