Martin Lewis’ wife Lara Lewington has left her loyal legion of fans concerned after she took to Instagram to share a worrying selfie covered in stitches.On Saturday (June 4), the 43-year-old revealed she had been involved in a road accident that forced her to take the week off work.The TV presenter admitted she was an “extremely clumsy person” after she accidentally crashed her electric scooter while running errands.Alongside a lengthy caption explaining her unfortunate accident, she shared an updated selfie which clearly showed two large gashes on her face, as well as a cut on the bridge of her nose and a slightly swollen left eye.The mum-of-one posted a before and after picture of her face, one of the fresh wounds and bloody face and another of her face now clean and stitched up six days later.She reassured viewers that she would be back on Steph’s Packed Lunch this week despite her battered face.In full view of her 25.6k viewers, she penned: “As an extremely clumsy person, always wobbly on two wheels, the electric scooter ride was never going to be a good idea.“After being cleaned up and stitched up, 6 days later I'm healing well, and grateful it wasn’t worse.“Back on @BBCClick & @PackedLunchC4 this week, cuts ‘n all!” she added.Many of her famous friends and adoring dans rushed to the comments section to wish the star well and offer their support.Steph McGovern said: “Hope you’re ok! [shocked emoji]” as another added: “Know the feeling..more than once.
