With more and more women moving into the sex work industry by simply selling their pictures on OnlyFans, the discourse has become much more mainstream.

While OnlyFans took the internet by storm when millions of people lost their job thanks to the pandemic, things came to a head in recent weeks.

The site recently announced that it would be banning explicit content, leaving thousands of users scrambling to find a new way to make money, before changing its approach and dropping a porn ban on Wednesday.

However, 24-year-old Lauren who makes up to €20,000 a month from the site feels like those who ‘hate’ sex workers really hate women regardless of their profession. ‘They don’t just hate sex workers, they hate women in general.
