An 'intruder' who was allegedly found in the grounds of Windsor Castle has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act. The 19-year-old man was arrested following the incident at the royal residence at 8.30am on Christmas Day.
Following a search, police also reportedly recovered a crossbow. The teenager, from Southampton, was arrested on suspicion of breach or trespass of a protected site and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was taken to police custody where he underwent a mental health assessment.
