Movie favourite Harrison Ford is to make a fifth and final outing as adventurer Indiana Jones, Disney confirmed today. The long-rumoured film will be released in July 2022 and will be the first in the franchise not to be directed by Steven Spielberg, 73.
Wolverine spin-off Logan and Oscar-nominated biopic Ford V Ferrari director James Mangold, 56, is helming the project, which has been held up in production due to the pandemic.
Producer Frank Marshall recently said: “There will only be one Indiana Jones, and that’s Harrison Ford. “We are working on the script.” The 78-year-old actor first brought the iconic character to the big screen in 1981’s Raiders Of The Lost Ark, followed by Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom in 1984, Indiana Jones
