Isabelle Huppert has tested positive for COVID-19. Variety writes that the 68-year-old actress has pulled out of the 2022 Berlin Film Festival after receiving her diagnosis. Click inside to read more… “Unfortunately, today Isabelle Huppert has been tested positive for the coronavirus in Paris and therefore she will not be able to attend the Berlin International Film Festival,” said a statement from the Berlinale.

It continued, “While informing the festival, she emphasized that she feels very dedicated to the Berlinale and wants to participate in any possible way also to support her latest film À Propos de Joan.” Berlinale artistic director Carlo Chatrian added that because Isabelle “doesn’t feel sick,” the festival would continue its plans for Tuesday’s ceremony, where they are set to honor the actress with a lifetime achievement award.

She’ll join the event via a live link from Paris and the ceremony will be followed by a screening of her new film. However, the “Berlinale Homage: In Conversation with Isabelle Huppert” event has been cancelled.
