Inbetweeners star James Buckley admits to unlikely hobby that has left him unable to sleep

The Inbetweeners star James Buckley has admitted to taking up a rather unlikely hobby in his free time - gardening.The 34-year-old actor – whose Channel 4 character Jay Cartwright famously destroyed some innocent daffodils and a flower display – has been getting to grips with his greenfingers at his home with wife Clair and their two sons.James has already mastered keeping his lawn looking green and has now turned his attention to other food and vegetables, herbs and flowers.Read more: James Buckley says 'no money in the world' could make him return as Inbetweeners' JayHe said: “I like tending my lawn.

You can keep on top of grass. Flowers and growing things – that’s tough man. “I’d like to grow something that you can eat. There feels like there’s an end game – you grow something and you can eat it."Discussing further what kind of food he has been attempting to grow he revealed that strawberries and potatoes are amongst the edibles in his garden.He continued: “I’ve got some strawberries, I’ve got some chillies, I’ve got some chives.

When I was growing up, we always had this bush of chives that we always used to use. Potatoes would be good.”Revealing his limited gardening experience prior to taking it up again, James added: “I grew some cress out of cotton wool once and that’s how far my gardening got.“It might be like barbecuing – you learn by your mistakes.
