Iceland is giving away free vegetables to parents on Universal Credit

Iceland is handing out bags of free frozen veg to families on certain benefits – including Universal Credit. We all know how expensive food can be – and nobody wants their kids to miss out on nutritionally rich dinners.The frozen food supermarket is doing their bit by offering the freebies to claimants of weekly “Healthy Start” vouchers.The vouchers are worth £3.10 and can be used towards the cost of fruit, veg and milk.Iceland has said it will award one free bag of vegetables to each claimant from September 11.
