Ianis Hagi has apologised to Rangers fans for a risky bit of showboating as the Ibrox side closed out a win over Dundee United.

The playmaker attempted an ill-advised 'Rabona' with the clock ticking down and the visitors going in search of an equaliser - almost levelling when Darren Watson's header brushed the crossbar.

Ultimately, James Tavernier's second-half penalty was enough to ensure Giovanni van Bronckhorst remains unbeaten in eight outings as manager.

Hagi, however, still wanted to say sorry for getting "carried away". He told Rangers TV: "First of all I want to start by apologising to the fans for the last minute Rabona.
