Carolyn Giardina “I’m Still Here,” the Brazilian political drama that is nominated for three Academy Awards including best picture, is getting additional international release dates, Sony Pictures Classics announced on Tuesday.
Newly-announced Latin American and European release dates include: Feb. 6 for Mexico, Chile, Venezuela and Bolivia; Feb. 13, for Colombia; and Feb.
20, where it will play in Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, the Dominican Republic and Ecuador. Also newly dated is a Feb. 21 release in Romania, Feb.
27 in Slovakia, and Feb. 28 in Poland and Turkey. Walter Salles’ film, which was selected as Brazil’s official submission for this year’s Oscars and was additionally nominated for best international feature and best actress for Fernanda Torres, has already earned $18.7 million worldwide and is the highest-grossing Brazilian post-pandemic film in the country.
