Pundit Gordon Duncan has been speaking about Everton full-back Seamus Coleman’s link to Celtic from before he signed for the Toffees. Gordon was hosting the latest episode of Clyde Superscoreboard and the panel talked about numerous issues involving Scottish football.
They also talked about Celtic. Gordon spoke about how Mark Wilson had once told him when the defender was at Parkhead, Coleman had a trial at the club but it turned out to be unsuccessful.
The 32-year-old Irishman Coleman had joined Everton from Sligo Rovers in 2009 for a fee of only £63k. In 2010, the defender did have a brief spell away from the club when he joined Blackpool on a loan deal (as per Transfermarkt).
