Hundreds of workers are reportedly at risk of redundancy at one of the UK's biggest BMW factories. The car manufacturer's Mini plant in Oxfordshire is preparing to lose around 400 agency workers, roughly half the number of staff at the factory.
There are currently approximately 950 agency workers at the moment, all through the GI Group. It is believed that the cuts - which will take effect in September - will depend on length of service, skill set and disciplinary record.
It's linked to a revised timetable at the plant, that will see it move from a three-shift week to a two-shift week from October.
