For more than two months headteacher Sarah Hewitt-Clarkson and the pupils at her primary school were subjected to constant protests outside the playground gates.
Anderton Park Primary in Birmingham was one of the schools targeted by anti-gay protesters because of its stance on equality.
While children were not formally taught about the importance of challenging stereotypes and treating everyone equally, the ethos of the school meant it was included in all of their values - something Sarah is passionate about.
