Horrifying footage shows the moment a passer-by found a sheep 'ripped to shreds' and 'clinging to life' after what he suspects was a dog attack.

A 35-year-old mushroom forager from Chorlton was out in Alderley Edge on Saturday evening when he says he happened across the sheep.

The upsetting scene shows a sheep with serious injuries on its face and back, surrounded by flies. The forager attempted to find a nearby farmer to alert them of the sheep's distress, but was unable to find one.
