His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

Holly Willoughby became teary-eyed on today's moving episode of This Morning after watching an emotional lockdown video. The 39-year-old TV favourite became emotional during a segment, which saw her watch a heartwarming video alongside her co-host Phillip Schofield, 58.

The video showed families reuniting after having been forced apart during the coronavirus pandemic. Under new government guidelines it is possible for single adults to form a "support bubble" with another household.After they watched a tear-jerking clip of loved ones finally being reunited, Phil and Holly said they were moved to tears.Phil explained that they had watched the film in the ad break in a bid to be prepared when it came to watching it live on air.They still got.
