A man who saved a dog from a frozen lake has modestly refuted suggestions that he is a hero. Darcy Bell jumped into a lake in Pontefract Park after noticing a pet struggling in the water.
The 31-year-old had been running with his neighbour when he noticed a commotion coming from the lake, Yorkshire Live reported.
While at first the Yorkshire man thought the dog was getting out on its own, he realised that it was in fact stuck in the freezing cold water.
