Saira Khan has given fans a close look at her painful-looking stitches after having surgery on her broken ankle. Former Loose Women star Saira, 50, had an operation on her ankle earlier this week, where surgeons inserted two metal pins and a plate with a bone graft in a bid to help heal her foot.

Saira, who shared her decision to quit Loose Women recently, broke her ankle six weeks ago but hasn’t revealed how she sustained the injury.

Mum of two Saira shared a clip of a nurse cutting off her bandages and cast on her leg and ankle before peeling off a large white plaster to reveal a line of stitches on the side of her ankle.
