Black Lives Matter protestor who carried a white man to safety after he was beaten during clashes between activists in London on Saturday has spoken out.Patrick Hutchinson told Channel 4 he arrived a “hectic” scene in London on Saturday, which was quickly turning into a “stampede.” He said he saw the white man in the chaos and in a bid to protect him, he “scooped” him off of the floor and carried him to safety.Mr Hutchinson said he marched towards police as others put a "cordon" around him "to stop him receiving any more physical harm."The black man said the protest was a "scary scene" and knew the white man "wouldn't make it" if he just left him in the chaos.
