LOS ANGELES – Public Health and elected officials across the nation are asking their constituents to refrain from gathering on Super Bowl Sunday.
More than 25,000 fans will be attending in-person the game in Tampa, Florida with the NFL and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers imposing strict coronavirus restrictions and safety measures including issuing N95 masks.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is warning County Residents that Super Bowl parties can become super-spreader events.
Over the past several weeks officials cautioned that when people from different households mix, this increases the risk of spread of COVID-19, especially if this occurs indoors and without face coverings and physical distancing.
