The Sign of the Times hitmaker denied he was romantically linked to the newly-single singer following their Caribbean break with friends in January.
Speaking to Howard Stern on his Sirius XM radio show, the One Direction star discussed his dating life and said he was just "hanging out" with the star. "I feel like that's just any time two musicians hang out," he said. "Either they're dating or they're recording together."
