Harry Potter fans who waited patiently to see the Hogwarts Express roll through a station were left gutted when a local train arrived to perfectly block their view.

Train spotter Ross Gilmour headed along to Drumry Train Station in Clydebank, Scotland, with his family this week to catch a glimpse of the famed Hogwarts Express earlier this week.

His partner Gillian Rooney and their two youngest children, Owen, six and Emilia, four, were equally excited to see the train as it passed through on its journey from the Highlands.

The train was due to arrive at 6.13pm but even the magical transport couldn't arrive on time, with fans left waiting on the platform for another 20 minutes.
