The measure is just one of 400 announced to address global warming, with others including a ban on the sale of high-polluting petrol and diesel cars by 2030.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) said no new fossil fuel boilers should be sold from 2025, except where they are compatible with hydrogen.
And now Mirror Online reports that households will be able to upgrade their boilers for thousands of pounds less than the current price.
