Gregg Wallace has bravely opened up about the incredibly dark period in his life while he battled his booze addiction. The Masterchef star, 56, became dependent on alcohol amid his crumbling marriage and his divorce from his second wife, Denise, in 2005.
After the couple made the decision to sleep in separate bedrooms, Gregg turned to alcohol in a bid to ease the pain of his crippling loneliness.
Eventually, his unhealthy habit became out of control, and he would reach for the nearest bottle of booze from as early as 10am each day.
Opening up about the tough time he experienced, Gregg revealed that he “wanted to die” after binging on alcohol. The TV star recalled when he drank excessively on one particular occasion.
