Paddy Doherty has opened up about how he thought he was going to die during his terrifying coronavirus battle. The My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star, 61, was rushed into hospital last week with double pneumonia and Covid-19.

And as nurses and doctors tirelessly battled to save him from the deadly bug, Paddy began to think the worst was upon him. Despite predicting a shocking 50per cent survival rate for his condition, doctors supported the telly star by telling him, "you can beat this Paddy".

After a gruelling six days under the watchful eye of medics, Paddy luckily was able to return home following his tough battle with the virus.
