Manchester’s most abusive restaurant Karen’s Diner is safe from closure, its owners have said, after some of the brand’s original restaurants in Australia went into liquidation.
The first Karen’s Diners were in Aussie cities including Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. They soon gained social media traction around the world for the restaurant’s purposely rude service.
However, last month it abruptly closed branches in Surfers Paradise, Perth and Melbourne, though the Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney restaurants have remained open.
A spokesperson for the brand said in a statement to the M.E.N that ‘a few of the pop up Karens in Australia have been placed into voluntary liquidation’, but stressed that the UK branches are safe.
