But cases are surging elsewhere across Greater Manchester, with infections trebling in Stockport and Salford and more than doubling in Oldham.
In Bolton there were 1,110 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 27, according to data from Public Health England. That's 190 fewer than the previous week, a fall of 15 per cent.
But Bolton's infection rate of 386.0 cases per 100,000 people is still by far the highest in the region and the second highest in England, behind Blackburn with Darwen.
