Greater Manchester's coronavirus death toll rises again

Nine more people have died with coronavirus in Greater Manchester's hospitals, according to the latest NHS figures. It brings the total death toll in our region's hospitals to 1,743.

While the number of lives lost to the virus continues to rise, some hospital NHS trusts have reported new no new deaths. Bolton NHS Foundation Trust and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust have recorded no new deaths in the last 24 hours.

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust saw the highest number of deaths in the last day, with four new deaths recorded. Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust an Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust only recorded one death each.
