Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham warns lockdown restrictions are being eased too soon

Andy Burnham has joined a number of scientific advisors in arguing that the UK government's easing of the lockdown restrictions is happening too soon.

From Monday, schools will reopen along with some non-essential shops, and up to six people will be allowed to meet in a group.

But the Greater Manchester mayor told BBC Radio 4's Today Programme on Saturday that releasing measures is 'premature.'
