overgrown public spaces look set to be cut following a special council meeting.Taking place on Thursday, it is expected councillors will vote on ending the cost cutting measure as well as the area’s ban on glyphosate weed killer - just two months after it had been extended.

The Labour administration has announced it will table a proposal which “commits to a one-off cut of areas impacted by cessation of maintenance on land outwith local authority ownership” at a cost of £300,000.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
