Priti Patel warned the threat from so-called lone wolf terrorists was also on the rise after three men were stabbed in a terrorist attack in Reading.
The guidance was drawn-up after a series of simulations carried out in 2017 and 2018.It is described as “most relevant” to office buildings - but can also be applied to locations including hotels and hospitals, schools and shopping areas.It also applies to shopping centres and theatres.Terrorist attacks are typically fast-moving and violent and deaths normally occur in the early stages of them before cops arrive.They feature one or more assailants trying to kill or injure as many people as possible.It is thought the guidance was published previously but reissued this week on the gov.uk website.
