The simple act of washing your hands has proven to be one of the most effective preventive measures to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

In an attempt to encourage people to wash their hands to fight the virus, the World Health Organisation recently launched the #safehands challenge.

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization posted a video to Twitter saying: “You too can have safe and clean hands anywhere.

Now I am calling on the world to take the WHO Safe Hands challenge to be ready for coronavirus”. He has nominated a number of celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra and Leonardo DiCaprio to take part in the challenge.
