GOGGLEBOX star Pete McGarry's heartbroken wife has said "he was my life" after he died suddenly of bowel cancer. The 71-year-old died days after being told he had six months to live, with wife Linda saying her son has been left "really cut up".
Pete passed away at home in Essex at the weekend with Linda and his beloved family by his side. The couple became household names thanks to their hilarious contributions to the popular Channel 4 show alongside Linda’s son, George.
She said: “Pete was a lovely man and I was so lucky to have him for 25 years. “I said to him, ‘We’ve not only been 25 years, it’s been day and night with each other.' He was my life.
