Gogglebox faces schedule shake-up as Channel 4 postpone next week's show

Channel 4 bosses have announced the beloved commentary show Gogglebox will face a schedule shake-up as the weekly programme will ditch their usual time slot to air on Saturday at 9pm.The entertainment show - which sees Britain's wittiest armchair critics have their say on the week's best television shows - usually airs every Friday at 9pm.But viewers were left thoroughly disappointed after the fan-favourite show was postponed by 24 hours as Friday Night Live takes over the quirky reality shows 9pm slot.READ MORE: Gogglebox's Tom Malone Jr teases return to Channel 4 show with one strict conditionTo celebrate 40 years of the flagship channel, Ben Elton will be hosting a revival of the iconic show that aired back in the 1980s for a one-off 90 minute special.Friday Night Live was originally broadcast as Saturday Live before it was moved to a different day.

It aired between 1985 and 1988 which is credited for launching Ben Elton's TV career in addition to raising the profile of comedians such as Harry Enfield, Jo Brand, Julian Clary, Rick Mayall and Adrian Edmondson.While this left fans of 80s television revivals overjoyed, many Gogglebox viewers admitted they were utterly "gutted" by the news that their favourite show have been moved.

One user penned: "No Gogglebox next week [crying emoji]" while another chimed in with: "Noooo, this is the worst news". A third penned: "Well that's just ruined my day," as one user agreed: "I love Gogglebox, bring it back!"One ITV viewer added: "All hail the utter delight @C4Gogglebox.
