Gmail appears to be down for thousands of users worldwide, as they are unable to send or receive emails, despite being able to access the app.According to the Down Detector website, nearly half of all Gmail users – around 1.5billion people worldwide – are experiencing issues with receiving mail, while 37% are reporting issues with the server connection of the site.In the meantime, only 14% of users reported issues with being able to log into their Gmail accounts.Users first began reporting outages at around 10.50pm on Wednesday night (April 27).It is unclear what has led to the outage or when it will be fixed.Users of the mailing service from around the world flocked to Twitter to voice their despair at the outage.One wrote: "Any issues with Gmail right now?
