Police are investigating after a 15-year-old girl was raped in a park in Oldham. The teenager was attacked in Chadderton Hall Park shortly after 9pm on Sunday.
She was walking through the park when a man approached her and asked to use her phone, the Manchester Evening News reports. Detectives said the schoolgirl followed the man as he walked with her phone along a gravel path towards the river, where he then raped her.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward. The attacker is believed to be in his 30s, with a dark or olive complexion, around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall with hazel eyes, clean shaven and short dark hair, according to a police description.
