Giorgio Armani Is Donating Over $1 Million to Fight Coronavirus in Italy

Giorgio Armani is using his own money to help the country of Italy fight the Coronavirus. The legendary fashion designer has announced that his business group will donate $1.43 million to fight the spread of the virus in Italy, Armani‘s home country.

Over 9,000 people have been infected with the virus in Italy and there have been over 450 deaths in the country. It has been said that health system in the Lombardy region is “a step away from collapse” and intensive care facilities have an increasing amount of patients and diminishing supplies. Armani‘s donation of 1.25 million euros will go to three hospitals in Milan, a hospital in Rome, and the Civil Protection Agency, according to Reuters.
