He was blinded police officer David Rathband, who killed himself less than two years later.A bench in his honour has now appeared in New Brighton, Merseyside.
The plaque, posted on Twitter, says: “In loving memory of Raoul Moat – 1973-2010. Taken too soon - D&A xx”It is not known who exactly “D” and “A” are, and the Daily Star has contacted Wirral Council for comment on the strange dedication.
