Gas cylinders found outside Scots bank as thieves attempt break-in

We told how cops locked down Cowgate, between West High Street and Catherine Street, and cordoned off the area while residents were evacuated from their homes.
One local said moments before neighbours were evacuated someone had 'tried to use a gas canister to break into the bank in a failed attempted robbery'.Officers later confirmed the attempted robbery.They maintained that the area was made safe and fire crews also attended to assist.There is no greater risk to the wider public.Greater Glasgow Police Division and released a statement on Monday afternoon.It read: "Officers.
