In 2017, the eldest of the three children made allegations of child abuse, leading to a "prolonged and extensive" investigation involving Cheshire Police and Warrington Borough Council's social services department.
The siblings were taken into care, and the full horrifying story eventually came to light, Liverpool Echo reports. The case raised concerning issues according to a Child Safeguarding Practice Review (CSPR) into the case, undertaken by Warrington Safeguarding Partnership.
