Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has welcomed the club's decision to appoint experienced German coach Ralf Rangnick as their new interim manager.
United confirmed the arrival of the former RB Leipzig boss on Monday morning and he will take charge of the team until the end of the campaign, before moving into a consultancy role for two years.
The German, who has been poached from Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow, will take charge as soon as his work visa requirements come through, meaning it remains to be seen if he will take charge of Thursday evening's clash with Arsenal.
