Arsenal were battered by Aston Villa on Sunday in a one-sided demolition. The Gunners were embarrassed by Dean Smith’s side at The Emirates as Ollie Watkins grabbed a second-half double to add to Bukayo Saka’s own goal.
Arsenal were poor going forward, as they failed to create any chances for their front three of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Willian.
Mikel Arteta played a 5-2-3 formation for the match, with Gabriel Magalhaes lining up alongside Rob Holding and Kieran Tierney at centre-back.
But they were frequently found out by Villa’s fast-paced attack, and were made to pay when they went searching for an equalising goal in the second-half.
