Now the Gunners faithful are not exactly renowned for producing a thunderous atmosphere at the Emirates - even at 60,000 capacity.In fact, during recent troubled seasons, their plush stadium has often been labeled a library by mocking visiting fans because it is so quiet.
Arteta, though, begs to differ - and cannot wait for Arsenal to become the first English club to welcome back supporters for this Thursday’s Europa League tie against Rapid Wien.
Under current COVID-19 Tier 2 rules, only 2,000 will be allowed in.But whatever the crowd size, Gunners boss Arteta insists playing in front of supporters again will be a much-needed shot in the arm.
