The Four Tops. Slade. The Housemartins. Tommy Cooper. The Prodigy. Bob Monkhouse. Not a fantasy festival line-up from back in the day, but a small selection of some of the massive acts to perform inside a forgotten Farnworth nightclub.

Today, Chapel Street is home to not all that much, apart from the back of a care home. However back in the 1960s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, some of the biggest musical and entertainment acts from around the world graced a Farnworth venue with their presence.

Starting out life as Club Monaco in the 1960s, the venue was split into two floors by a huge sprawling staircase. Downstairs was a more traditional nightclub, while upstairs catered to a younger audience of teddy boys and girls.
