Free WiFi funded by EU initiative will be available at country park set for £1.6m makeover

Free WiFi will be available at Pennington Flash Country Park and Pennington Hall Park with work to install access points scheduled throughout May.

The work will be funded by WiFi4EU, a European Union initiative promoting free internet access in public spaces which Wigan council successfully bid for.

It comes after the council announced £1.6m makeover plans for the nature reserve, including a new visitor centre and a café offering outdoor seating.
