Four young people dead as police issue 'urgent drugs warning' after horror weekend
dailystar.co.ukdrugs are suspected to have been involved in the deaths of two young women, aged 18, and a 21-year-old man over the weekend.Detectives said another 18-year-old man died in Washington, Tyne and Wear.Official post-mortem examinations are yet to be carried out but the force said drugs are “suspected to have been a factor”.The force did not reveal which drugs are thought to have been involved.Assistant Chief Constable Neil Hutchinson begged young people to avoid the risk of illicit substances after the surge in drug-related deaths.He said: "First and foremost, our thoughts go out to the families and loved ones of those who have sadly died."Although our investigations are still at a very early stage and we continue to establish the circumstances.
