Four children suffocate to death after being buried alive under sand at building site

mirror.co.ukFour children have been found dead after apparently being buried alive in a deep pit at an illegal construction site. The four boys - two brothers, their cousin and a neighbour - are believed to have sneaked into the unlawful site to play.
The young victims, aged between five and 11, somehow became buried under layers of sand. They were found suffocated to death in the three foot-deep pit on Saturday.
Their families began a search, when they went missing but the circumstances surrounding their tragic deaths are still unclear.
Yuanyang People's Government said in a statement that developer Xinxiang Zhongfu Real Estate Co Ltd had been issued with a cease and desist letter on April 15 - just three days before the incident.
