It is easy to get carried away by viral skill montages and short-clips posted of the next 'football wonderkid', but former United scout Jorge Alvial noticed something different when he first spotted a 14-year-old by the name of Alphonso Davies playing in the Dallas Cup.
The teenager was quick, faster than anyone he had seen before in that age group. In fact, one year later Alvial would observe the Ghanaian-born winger run 100 metres in just 10.7 seconds.
But, he also had exceptional raw talent and incredible hunger to better himself, something which the Chilean scout couldn't ignore.
